If your wondering which console is right for you then you have came to the right place.

First of is the Xbox Series S, as you may know the Xbox Series S is one of the 2 consoles in the Xbox series. This console is very powerful with it’s 120 FPS and 1440P Ultra HD settings option, but if your tv does not support these settings then you will get 1440P UltraHD 60 FPS settings which is still very good. It is an all digital console. Its max storage is 512GB and you can add 1TB expansion. Since it’s an all digital console that does mean it removes the optical drive (Disc). The Xbox series S is priced at 299$ and will be available on November 10th 2020. Since the Xbox Series S has 512 GB storage it will fill up fast but Microsoft did state that the update sizes will be 30% smaller which means they won’t be using 4K textures because that can bloat up some titles. Microsoft has also said that the Series S will sell way faster than its sibling the Series X, So get yours as soon as you can. Obviously the Series S is weaker than the X thats why it’s more inferior. It does promise to deliver the best next-gen experience possible. One of my favorite features in the Xbox Series S is Ray tracing and super fast loading times. The Series S will be flying off shelfs for one reason it’s, more moderate target for resolution which means that it can do as much as the Series X can for a lower price point. Microsoft tried to create a smaller design for the Series S so that it’s more portable. If you want something more sleek and discreet and you want to fit it in any place then go with the Series S.

There will be over 20+ games available at launch for the Xbox Series S.

Here are the games:

Xbox Game Pass includes over 100 excellent games with titles included constantly. There are 2 types of game pass the first one is the standard edition which goes for 9.99$ and that includes the 100+ games, But if you opt in for the game pass ultimate you get 100+ games, Xbox live Gold, and EA Play all for 14.99$.

These are all the versions of the Game Pass

Project X Cloud is a cloud were you can go play Xbox on Android devices and soon (IOS) on the go or just if your not near your Xbox. You can also play on your PC. This cloud streaming service pretty much makes it easier to play on your xbox were ever you go. The beta came out November 14 2019 and it was officially launched on September 15 2020. It’s not available in all countries currently but in 2021 more countries will be getting it as it’s a multi year roll out. Microsoft is trying its best to make it compatible with apple devices. In order to play you will need a stable internet connection but Microsoft said that it will run at 7-10 Mbs.

Here are the specs:

  • CPU: 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU @ 3.6GHz (3.4GHz with SMT enabled)
  • GPU: AMD RDNA 2 GPU, 20 compute units @ 1.565GHz
  • GPU power: 4 TFLOPS
  • SoC: Custom 7nm Enhanced SoC
  • RAM: 10GB GDDR6 (8GB @ 224GB/s, 2GB @ 56GB/s)
  • Performance target: 1440p @ 60fps, up to 120fps
  • Storage: 512GB PCIe Gen 4 NVME SSD (2.4GB/sec uncompressed, 4.8GB/s compressed)

  • Display out: HDMI 2.1

Secondly is the Playstation 5, It Is also a 2 part console meaning there is 2 versions but it is not a series like the xbox. The one I will be talking about is the digital edition. This is also a powerful console with its settings of up to 8K and 120 FPS, with its max storage going to 825GB, again since it’s digital there is no optical drive (Disc). The PS5 will be priced at 399$ for digital and 499$ for normal and it will be Available on November 12 2020 for some countries and November 19 2020 Globally. Both PS5 and digital are the same but the digital is a 100$ less. It’s pretty hard to get your hands a PS5 pre order so when you can do ASAP. People buy either PS5 because at the end they are the same and will be both sold out very quickly. There are a couple of ways you put the PS5 and you can choose the one that suits you. There isn’t much I can talk about since both consoles aren’t unique from each other.

The PS5 will have 20+ Games at launch and more to come in 2021

PS Plus like the game pass is a membership were you pay 9.99$ a month to get 2 games for free every month and discounts on games. It gives you 100 GB cloud storage for free and there is either 3 months 6 months or 12 months. You get exclusive items in games.

  • CPU: Eight-core up to 3.5GHz (variable frequency) custom AMD Ryzen Zen 2
  • GPU: 10.3 teraflops, variable frequency, up to 2.23 GHz
  • RAM: 16GB GDDR6
  • Frame-rate: Up to 120fps
  • Resolution: Up to 8K
  • Optical: No disk drive
  • Storage: 825GB NVMe SSD
This is the UI for the PS5

This is the last part I’m going to be talk about and that is which one to get. Im going with Xbox on this the reason is because for a 300$ your get 1440p Ultra HD with 120 fps for a console that is 1/3 the power of the Series X but can pretty much do what it can. There is better features in the Xbox like the games pass ultimate or the X cloud, they have offered so much for a good price and they really showed everything possible which is why I think they won the battle this time. So don’t always immediately think that Playstation is automatically better. That’s my side but if you don’t wanna get the Xbox then go for the PS5 and if you don’t want the PS5 get the Xbox.

Here is podcast about this amazing battle
