The game “Tex Mechs” is good, so please developers if you are reading this, don’t feel bad, for college students you guys did amazing. So with this interview, I’ll start with the bad things and then move on to the good things about this game.
The Bad Things
This game has the same music and it’s just a loop. It’s not six seconds, it wasn’t that bad, but as a man who appreciates music a lot, I feel like it was just a bit too short. Granted the game has only one level, but if you played the tutorial the music would just become annoying. So, in other words, it’s either play this game blind and have some amazing music or know how to play the game and be annoyed by the audio. Speaking about how to play the game, the mechanics of being able to stomp, and ram was kinda useless, but I did notice when I did use it, ammo appeared out of the blue, I don’t know if it’s coincidence or not. If it was not a coincidence, then they did not make it clear in the tutorial.
The Good Things
Tex Mechs is Fun. Its weapons are easy to use, and you can learn how to use them, its pros and cons, and when to use them. The enemies’ FUNCTIONS are varied, and map design interacts with the gameplay style.
I know that the paragraph about bad things is way longer than the paragraph about the good things, but almost all of that paragraph about the bad things is just nitpicking, so overall the good outweighs the bad. This game gets a 7/10.
